Power Assist is what makes all our bikes, E-Bikes! It gives you an extra boost when you are pedalling, to make it effortlessly easy and get you where you need to be.

If you're new to the world of eBikes, it can feel overwhelming choosing the right bike for you! It's normal to have plenty of questions like, what is pedal assist? How will it benefit me? How does it work? Let us breakdown the basics for you!

How does the assist work?

Our bikes use a Cadence sensor, which is one of the most common sensors found in eBikes. A Cadence sensor turns the motor on as you rotate the pedals, and stops when you stop. Once the bike is turned on, this motor will kick in anytime you get moving, and you can use the buttons on the controller to choose the level of assistance you need.

How does pedal assist benefit me?

Our bikes provide multiple levels of assist! Level 0 is no assist, Level 1 is low assist, Level 2 is medium assist... and so on. If you're just after a little push, or want to make the most out of your battery, staying in the lower levels of assist will help extend your range whilst still giving you a boost. If you're tackling large hills, the higher levels of assist will help you climb them with ease! It's important to note that if you're constantly using a higher level of assist, you may limit your range, as it will wear the battery quicker. However, all our bike ranges have been tested in real world environments, so the range we offer on our bikes aligns with everyday use!

No matter your fitness level or previous experience, if you can ride a bike, you can ride an eBike (and you'll definitely find it much easier!).
